Sage Leaf - Whole

Sage is masculine in nature and associated the element of air and the planet Jupiter. It is sacred to the God Zeus/ Jupiter and a symbol of the Virgin Mary. White sage is sacred in many Shamanic and Native American belief systems and is used in smudging & other ceremonies to purify the body. Since the plant is difficult to grow in captivity, it is usually wildcrafted from places like New Mexico. Sage is used in magical workings for longevity, wisdom, protection and the granting of wishes. It is also believed to help alleviate sorrow/grief from the death of a loved one. If you have a wish, write it on a sage leaf and sleep with it under your pillow for three days before burying it.
